From September 2019, we will be teaming up with The Grateful Bread based in Hexham to offer you a selection of sourdough baked with organic flour. The Grateful Bread is Available for Wednesday and Thursday delivery or collection from our Farm Shop Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The Grateful Bread are a micro bakery based in Hexham, Northumberland, with one simple aim: to provide our local community with outstanding bread. The Grateful Bread specialise in long-fermentation sourdough bread.

The 'Hexham Loaf' is a large 1kg white sourdough made with dark rye starter, and born over a three day process. The crust is packed with flavour and the crumb light, soft and creamy. Our most popular bread.
Roggenbort - This 100% Rye Sourdough is a high hydration tinned loaf made in the German tradition and is a good option for those sensitive to gluten. This is a moist, textured loaf full of tangy flavours and keeps fresh for days and days. Perfect thinly sliced and served with jam or anything smoked.
Seeded Malted Brown Sourdough - Using malted brown flour blended with organic white with large flakes of wheat incorporated. The ratio of brown to white flour is 70/30, providing a beautiful deep flavour while maintaining a soft open crumb with added seeds.
Scotch Mist Rolls - A yeasted roll made with milk and perfect for breakfast or lunch, toasted or filled with local bacon and eggs or smothered in butter and jam. An absolute must-try. Minimum order of 4.
All of the bread will come wrapped in a brown paper bag. Please contact us for an ingredient list should you require one.
